Hot water, oven & appliance installation
Electric hot water units, ovens, cooktops and underfloor heating. Replacements, upgrades and new connections.
Replace, upgrade, or wire from new.
Electric hot water is usually a like-for-like swap. Sam isolates and disconnects the old unit, then connects and tests the new one. A plumber looks after the water side.
Ovens and cooktops are hardwired. A standard oven usually runs on its own circuit, and induction cooktops often need a dedicated 32A circuit or more. Sam runs the circuit, connects the appliance and tests it.
Underfloor heating connects to a thermostat and the switchboard. Sam connects the heating cables your installer has laid, mounts the thermostat and sets it up.
Appliance connections come with a compliance certificate where one is required.
Replacing or adding.
Your hot water unit is leaking, getting old, or the element has burnt out.
You're renovating the kitchen and the new induction cooktop needs its own circuit because the old one was gas.
You're building a new bathroom and want heating under the tiles.
You're swapping the oven for one that's bigger or more powerful, and the existing connection needs upgrading.
Most jobs are straightforward.
- 01
Confirm the spec
Sam asks what you're installing or replacing. Often the spec sheet tells him what he needs to know.
- 02
Quote
Many appliance jobs can be priced over the phone or after one quick visit.
- 03
Install
The power goes off while the connection is made. Most simple swaps don't take long.
- 04
Test and certify
Sam tests everything and gives you a compliance certificate.

Sam came out on a Saturday morning when our switchboard tripped and wouldn't reset. Diagnosed a failing safety switch, replaced it on the spot, and ran a full RCD test on the whole house. Booked him back for a proper switchboard upgrade two weeks later. Tidy work, fair price.

Got a Tesla Wall Connector installed before our new car arrived. Sam quoted on the phone, came out two days later, charger up and running in a few hours. Showed us how the app works. Pricing was straightforward.
